Recap of 2024 Annual Town Meeting of Electors

The Town of Lucas Annual Town Meeting of Electors was held on Tuesday, April 16, 2024 at the Town Hall, E2301 State Rd. 29, Menomonie, WI. There were 12 town residents in attendance, including the Town Board Chairperson, Supervisors 1 and 2, the Clerk, and the Treasurer.

• The meeting was called to order at 7:30 pm.
• The minutes of the 2023 Annual Meeting were reviewed and approved by unanimous vote of electors.
• The 2023 Financial Report was read by electors.
• A motion was made and approved to increase the clerk salary by 10% and all board members and treasurer salaries by 5% to bring salaries in line with cost-of-living increases and inflation.
• A motion was made and approved to raise the tax levy by $16,000 for 2024 paid 2025 taxes.
• Discussion was had on other matters, and no other resolutions, motions, or actions were adopted or approved by electors.
• The meeting was adjourned at 8:42 pm.
